Enterprise take Doblo Cargo SX 1.6

Nationwide rental specialists Enterprise Rent-a-Car have just taken delivery of seven new Fiat Doblo Cargos from Sherwood, Blackwell

As part of an ongoing supply deal with Fiat, Enterprise chose Sherwood as their lead supplier for these new vans thanks to a long-term relationship between the two companies, and a close working partnership with salesman Peter Gould.

To be based throughout the East Midlands, all seven Doblo Cargo SX 1.6 vans were specified for the widest variety of applications and a 600 kgs payload.

Rental demands the most from any vehicle, and Doblo Cargo blends the driveability, comfort and sheer ‘liveability’ of a car, with the practicality and durability demanded of a light van.

First time success for Jon Waddoups Transport!

It was first time success for Jon Waddoups Transport Services at this year’s Derwent Truck Show!

Held over August Bank Holiday, the six-strong Sutton-in-Ashfield fleet scooped the ‘Best Fleet’ award for its mixed Iveco and DAF line up.

It was the first time the company had ever attended a truck show. 'But the lads Julian, Shaun, Ian and Paul were determined to enter, so we thought we’d give it ago!' said Managing Director, Jon Waddoups.

'And all credit to them - it was their efforts that won it for us! They spent all the Friday night, Saturday and Sunday before the show polishing and preening the vehicles to make 100% sure they were looking their best. And it all paid off – we were delighted!'

Stars of the Show were two 08 and 09 plate Iveco Stralis SuperCubes. With 500 bhp Euro 5 engines, alloy wheels, cab coloured grilles, leather upholstery and Kelsa bar spotlights, they’re well specified to suit the UK and European work they do, and drivers Ian and Paul rate them extremely highly.

'They’re the first Iveco’s into the fleet,' says Waddoups, 'and they’re excellent trucks. As well as UK work, we run them with flat trailers out to Northern France at least once a week, and they’re performing superbly in every way.'

'And we’re delighted with the support from Sherwood too. Workshops, parts support or bodyshop, the service is excellent and salesman Garry Nelson has been an invaluable source of advice and helpall round.'
